Heavy Rescue 628

628 - This is the Heavy Rescue for the District.  628 is responsible with rescue and extrication operations, carrying various tools for these important tasks.  628 runs on calls that have people trapped in a vehicle during accidents, structure fires as the RIC (Rapid Intervention Crew), and EMS calls when 622 is unavailable.  Some of the equipment includes:

-HURST Tools: Rams, Spreaders, Maverick, O-Cutter

-RIC Bag - Spare bottle, mask, and tools used by RIC

- Basic fire extinguishers

- Hand tools and lights, saws, tarps, to name a few.

628 does respond mutual aid to Rush on certain calls.

A total of eight firefighters can ride with a total of six MSA SCBAs.

 


 

Engine 622

622 - This is the Engine that runs out of Battalion 2.  This is a first line pumper and is used to fight fires.  This truck carries a one-thousand plus gallon water tank, foam, 5 inch supply line, hand lines, and a master stream deck gun.  A total of six firefighters can ride on 622. 622 covers most of West Henrietta, I-390, and I-90 when dispatched. 622 is also the Fill-In Engine to the Scottsville Fire District and RFD Engine 8. 622 is the primary EMS trucks. 622 is one of the newest trucks in the District and is an E-One Pumper.
